Some Abducted Iraqi Workers Released
30 women and children were released after the kidnappers looked at their identity cards.

Baghdad, Iraq -- About a third of the people kidnapped Wednesday at an industrial plant in Iraq are now free. But that still leaves dozens in the hands of gunmen.

Police say about 85 workers were abducted as they left work north of Baghdad. All were shoved into a bus and a minivan.

But 30 women and children were later released after the kidnappers looked at their identity cards. While police wouldn't say anything else, it's known that Iraqi names often help determine someone's ethnic, sectarian and tribal affiliations.

Iraq has had a rash of mass abductions. Earlier this month, 50 people were grabbed in a central Baghdad business district and little has been heard about them since.
