Zarqawi 'died with his bomb belt on'

QATAR-based Al-Jazeera television has aired a video of al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri vowing to avenge the death of the network's Iraq frontman Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, killed in a US air raid on June 7.

Zawahiri blasted Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and US Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, saying Maliki "trades with Islam" for power and describing Khalilzad as "the Afghan apostate".

He said Zarqawi "died under bombardment" and not in hiding, and never shed his "explosives belt".

And it certainly wouldnt be a suprise if some of them straight up worked for us (or allied intelligence agencies). Its always important to remember that there are agents all over these groups and throughout these networks. Also that infiltrating and provoking violence is the oldest trick in the book. As long as people are channeling thier anger at the US through violence, the US will control the situation.

Can you imagine what a disaster it would be for US planners if they faced a non-violent jihad? How would they justify thier policies then.
