Queen's fury as Bush goons wreck garden
THE Queen is furious with President George W. Bush after his state visit caused thousands of pounds of damage to her gardens at Buckingham Palace.

Royal officials are now in touch with the Queen's insurers and Prime Minister Tony Blair to find out who will pick up the massive repair bill. Palace staff said they had never seen the Queen so angry as when she saw how her perfectly-mantained lawns had been churned up after being turned into helipads with three giant H landing markings for the Bush visit.

The rotors of the President's Marine Force One helicopter and two support Black Hawks damaged trees and shrubs that had survived since Queen Victoria's reign.

And Bush's army of clod-hopping security service men trampled more precious and exotic plants.

The Queen's own flock of flamingoes, which security staff insisted should be moved in case they flew into the helicopter rotors, are thought to be so traumatised after being taken to a "place of safety" that they might never return home.

5. That's FUNNY!
The Queen's a whore, anyway. Did you see what I posted yesterday about some guy named Farish?

At the royal dinner, Bush was seated with several royal ones who are horse lovers. The Queen travels to the U.S. to visit a race horse breeder named Farish. The Ambadassador to London is named Farish.

Then I read that one of George H.W. Bush's biggest allies was some jerk named Farish; I believe he had Nazi ties to boot.

I may have a few details wrong, but the Farish family sounds like Son of Bush.

10. Do Your Homework
1) The Queen invited the world's #1 terrorist.

2) The Queen is apparently a BIG fan of an individual named Farish.

3) Do some research on the Farish clan and the Bush clan.

THAT'S what makes the Queen a whore.

24. Pardon me??
I'm a Canadian...she is my head of state, so I know a little more about her than you do.

The queen did NOT invite Bush. Bush invited Bush...and Blair gave in. The queen got stuck with him.

She is not any 'big' fan of the Farish clan...she knows one Farish who breeds horses in the US.

The US appointed the other Farish as ambassador.

Getting stuck with an unwanted guest, and knowing a horse breeder and an ambassador doesn't make anyone a whore.

Are you TRYING to be as obnoxious as you can?

33. The British queen is a head of state?
Wow that is funny. If the queen is the head of her state and yours...then perhaps she should have behaved as one and told Mr. bush he was not welcome. One who is the head of ones house does not "get stuck" with an unwanted guest. So which is it? Is she the head of state, an innefectual old lady who does what she is told....or does she whore her morality and do what is most advantageous to her at the time?

34. What is it with you guys and the Queen?
The Queen is the head of the Commonwealth, and the head of state for several countries...the UK, Canada, Australia, NZ....

You think this is the 1700's or so, where they yell 'off with your head' and send people to the tower?

The Queen receives the leaders of other countries on visits. I'm sure you've heard of this practice before?

She may personally dislike Bush...and probably after this visit episode she does even more...but that doesn't mean she can just quit doing her job.

48. A "head of house" with good manners can indeed be "stuck with"

a boorish guest, due to the person with good manners having the desire to be hospitable. Royals are raised to preserve etiquette and polite society and to always do their duty, which means hosting and attending a lot of social/state affairs they'd rather not. Elizabeth I is devoted to her job, has always been known for her dedication. She reads all the papers sent to her for approval, even though she has little real power, makes her speeches to Parliament, and goes to all the teas and ceremonies and ribbon cuttings. It seems a very restricted and boring life, particularly for a woman who loves the country life, spending time with her horses and dogs. I can admire those who rebel against the restrictions and obligations of life as a royal but I can also admire her for doing her duty to the nation as she was raised to do.

64. NB: Elizabeth I has been dead over 400 years. "Elizabeth II"
is a composite, cold-war character inserted into public life to camouflage Nazi and Stalinist atrocities that did not end in the 20th century. Public perception of her function has been a bigger spin production than all the combined bullshit of US and UK political campaigns of the last 100 years. The smokescreen of her dutiful and dedicated public role is about as credible as that of Bush being a legitimately elected president. They wield about the same moral authority as Hitler.

Anyone who actually knows her, the 'family' and the reality of UK domestic politics will also be familiar with the outrageous spin that has produced 'President George W Bush'. The two were conceived in the same hell hole of fascist politics that has deliberately deceived democracies for over 70 years.

However, this house of cards now teeters on the brink of an abyss. A series of highly complex law suits spanning some 40 years is culminating in the UK next January to bring the situation out into the open. Under the umbrella of a class action, aggrieved and bankrupted creditors of the collapsed bank BCCI are suing the Bank of England for a billion pounds compensation in an unprecedented lawsuit that has been systematically gagged for the last 10 years but which was finally given the go ahead by the Court of Appeal earlier this year when Blair's gagging orders on 'sensitive' government evidence were lifted. This means that evidence previously only heard in private lawsuits and criminal proceedings that were gagged under a Ministry of Defence 'D' Notice must now be aired in open court - with reporting restrictions lifted - without the guise of security-sensitive priviledge. It also means that those who handed over their data bases in evidence to Bob Morgenthau when he successfully busted and closed down BCCI in NY are able to testify before the UK courts.

During last week's smokescreen 'state visit' Bush administration lawyers tried to enforce gags to prevent highly embarassing evidence being heard in open court next January. They failed, and although the press were not allowed to report these attempts to once again suborn witnesses and prevent documentary evidence being heard on the basis of US national security, those who are testifying on behalf of the creditors are all aware of the immense illegal pressure that Bush has put on Blair to quash any attempt to bring this information into the public domain. Anyone who knows which material evidence concerning JFK's assasination was deliberately withheld and/or suborned before the US courts will understand the gravity of the situation.

Bottom line: Ken Lay is not the only lying, cheating bastard to have criminal offspring that he would rather not admit to, who are tied irrevocably to gang warfare that resulted in the massive Enron fraud and were instrumental to the downfall and subsequent cover-up of the BCCI fiasco. The latter is a continuation of the Banco Ambrosiano fraud/collapse and a major personal embarassment to Margaret Thatcher, Bush 1 and Elizabeth Windsor.

Those who are cynical of the public perception of the Bush state visit should remain so.

There is a difference between the Head of State and the Head of Government. The US is different because here it is the same person. In many countries the Head of State is seperate, and simply a figurehead, often a King or Queen.

27. info on the invitation and Farish
http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1083115,00.html

Getting the first ever state visit for a US president was a big request, but Team Bush had just the man to make it. William Farish, the US ambassador to London, has been the invisible man of the diplomatic circuit since he arrived here. But he has one asset: he is a genuinely close friend of the Windsors. A racing fanatic, he even trains and keeps the Queen's horses at his Kentucky estate.

and who is Farish?

http://www.opensecrets.org/bush/ambassadors/farish.asp

There was little, if any, surprise when President Bush chose William S. Farish as ambassador to Great Britain. Farish, a millionaire horse breeder and chairman of Churchill Downs, which hosts the fabled Kentucky Derby each year, is a big Republican donor and a close family friend of the Bushes, whom he has known for more than 50 years.

Farish has a history of close ties with President Bush's father. He owns a trust company in Houston called W.S. Farish & Co., and was tapped in 1980 to manage Vice President Bush's blind trust. He and his wife, Sarah, gave Millie, who became known as the White House dog, to George and Barbara Bush. Farish and the elder Bush are known to be occasional tennis partners.

Farish owns the Lane's End Farm near Lexington, where he and Sarah have played host to Queen Elizabeth, another longtime friend and the royal head of the country in which he will serve, pending confirmation by the U.S. Senate.

Farish contributed $26,875 to Republican candidates and parties in 1999-2000, including the maximum $1,000 to President Bush's campaign. He also contributed $100,000 to the Bush-Cheney inauguration committee and $5,000 to the Bush-Cheney recount committee. His support for Democrats amounted to a single contribution of $1,000 to the unsuccessful campaign of former Rep. Scotty Baesler (D-Ky.).

and

http://azplace.net/index.php?itemid=165

In 1980, when George H.W. Bush was elected vice president, he placed his father's family inherence in a blind trust. The trust was managed by his old friend and quail hunting partner, William "Stamps" Farish III. Bush's choice of Farish to manage the family wealth is quite revealing in that it demonstrates that the former president might know exactly where some of his inheritance originated. Farish's grandfather, William Farish Jr., on March 25th, 1942, pleaded "no contest" to conspiring with Nazi Germany while president of Standard Oil in New Jersey. He was described by Senator Harry Truman in public of approaching "treason" for profiting off the Nazi war machine. Standard Oil, invested millions in IG Farben, who opened a gasoline factory within Auschwitz in 1940. The billions "Stamps" inherited had more blood on it then Bush, so the paper trail of UBC stock would be safe during his 12 years in presidential politics.

74. Harry S was not the only Truman to have this view of Farish!
Farish III and his gargoyle wife Sarah Sharp (scion of another fascist family linked to organised crime and cold war atrocity coverups) have obviously not done their homework before moving into to the ambassadorial residence Winfield House in Regents Park's Outer Circle...Otherwise they might have taken note of the spooky legend that surrounds 'The Regents Park Fox' - an ominous creature foreboding disaster and impending bad karma on whoever crosses its path, now currently taking up lodgings (with its extended family of approx 10) in the Winfield House backyard, just by the helipad. Legend has it that this Fox is a ruthless stalker of pampered pooches, preying in winter on hybrids like the White Bichon Frisee when supplies of swan and goose begin to wane....

37. You're right on all of it
William Stamps Farish Sr. was the president of Standard Oil who got into trouble for dealing with the Nazis after the start of World War II. He died under the strain, his son died in an accident the following year, and William Stamps Farish III grew up as a reclusive multi-millionaire -- and close friend of George H.W. and Barbara Bush. It's Farish III who's the horse-breeder and current ambassador to Great Britain.

Farish has family connections to several prominent Houston families and also to various extreme right-wingers. Nobody knows much about him or what he does with his money, and he's been almost invisible as ambassador. A creepy guy all round.

And, the Queen said "no"! Also, she refused to replace windows in the palace...to make them "more safe". Jeesh! :eyes:

In the end, she was coerced into letting these goons land in her prized garden.

BTW, the nearest landing strip (for airplanes) is miles away. I suppose they could have landed helicopters in Hyde Park...and, had Junior limo'ed to the palace in a few minutes. But, that would have meant running past protestors. :sigh:

Wasn't there a story way back about one of the Bush daughters wearing jeans or some other inappropriate outfit to meet the queen?

Fuck the Queen and her stupid fucking gardens. She's lucky that how pretty her plants look are her major concern. Spend the thousands on people, not your pretty little garden ya useless cow!

When U invite yourself 4 a f*cking state visit, I Blieve the Queen is 'required' to entertain the clod who invited himself. After U get 'invited' U don't turn up 'n trash the place. She may B useless but she hasn't lied in order 2 send men and women to die in Iraq!

46. That's not the point
Sure, you've got the Queen and her gardens that require money better spent on the masses. But think of the irony that W came over and screwed up her gardens because he is even MORE disregarding of the common people than she is. He uses her pristine gardens like his own private kitty litter box.

44. Queen hereditary east over Bush ....
... as translated by Google.
http://www.n-tv.de/5195870.html

Sunday, 23 November 2003
"never so furiously seen"
Queen hereditary east over Bush

The British queen Elizabeth II. is heavily hereditary east, because US president George W. Bush and his attendants damaged her English lawn. After a report of the "Sunday Mirror" palace servant did not see the 77-jaehrige Queen "ever as furiously" as after the inspection of its green area maintained since generations of top management. The helicopter of the president and two Begleit helicopters would have left enormous h-foermige castings in the country.

In addition the rotor blades would have damaged trees and bushes, which came of still to the epoch queen Victorias (reign 1837 to 1901). Other rare and exotic plants were zertrampelt during the four-day state visit in the past week by considerationless safety people. The garden of the Buckingham palace is after realizations of biologists the species-richest and most valuable piece of nature in completely London, since its peace is disturbed only rarely.

The royal flamingos, which had been briefly resettled because of the helicopters, should be high-grade traumatisiert by the local change. Altogether amount the damage to thousands of Pound. Bush will get however no calculation: Numbers are the insurance of the Queen and the British government.

Waiting with baited breath for the photos ...

42. Amazing
the Queen has always been gracious to Americans and their president, no matter who he was, over the 50 years of her reign.

The UK even overwhelmingly offered both sympathy and practical help on 911.

Yet here, many of you, are trashing the Queen...not even the one who supposedly did the damage... over something written in a tabloid, that you don't even know to be true!

the queen should at least have been able to enjoy watching "East Enders" on the telly. We're still unhappy that BBC America is no longer showing it. Perhaps a protest to HRH is in order?!

60. Bush rules
over everyone and has a compulsion to let it be known. The disrespect shown to the property of his gracious hosts, is unforgiveable. It was reported that he invited himself, so I guess that meant he could abuse the priviledge and destroy what he wanted, in his mind.

The Queen could have been consulted--what does it take to sit down and go over the plans? When leaving Bush said thank you to the prince and "I appreciate it" :eyes: -- Laura got to destroy the heirloom garden on her "fairy tale". :bounce:

What is telling that neither of them probably noticed or strolled through the lovely garden smelling the roses for fear of being assassinated.

-they were trapped inside the palace for most of the time.

That there are some Americans here berating their fellow countrymen for criticising the Queen.

Well I'm English and the Queen can get fucked as far as I'm concerned.

The Monarchy is an anachronistic profoundly undemocratic institution which the British tax payer supports. We paid for her garden once, no doubt we'll pay for it to be repaired.

Parliament!

On second thoughts, there might be one or two MPs worth keeping but
the rest could be better put to work in Buckingham Palace gardens ...
somewhere that shovelling horsesh*t can really make a difference :-)

66. The only way this lot is heading south is on borrowed 747 airmiles
Flamingos tend to be as mirgatory as ostriches and penguins. Merely pointing their beaks south and flapping their wings does not guarantee mobility.

There was a dead one floating in the Serpentine pond in Hyde Park the other week. Maybe someone tried to shoot it for a thanksgiving roast later this week.

94. What Did You Expect
This is the same bunch that wants to trash a wildlife refuge in Alaska for oil, cut down forests, fill in wetlands, etc. What do they care about one garden when they have the whole world to destroy? Environmental destruction is a top priority for these assholes. If they don't care about the rest of the world they sure aren't going to worry about the Queen's garden.
