4. Now Now
My 2 Michigan senators (Levin & Stabenow) are, once again, on the side of the angels. Tom Daschle, among others on the list, simply needs to retire to the ZELL MILLER HOME FOR SPINELESS AND/OR TURNCOAT DEMS.

3. 5 of the 7 Republicans that voted with the Good Guys are from New England
no surprise...I wish Chaffee would just switch parties. He votes with the Dems over 90% of the time.

5. Clever evil GOP - Ethenol and Farmers
Plugged the bill with big handouts in terms of Ethenol production for farm states. Farmers from Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota all stand to reap huge bennies. With election coming up dems in farm states who don't bring home the bacon will be hammered by the opposition. SOuth Dakota alone stands to gain a billion dollars per year from increase ethenol production. With only 800,000 people in the entire state that is a huge impact. Problem is ethenol cost more to produce in terms of energy that one gets out of it.

Here again the Refucklicans have out manuvered the Dems. Putting little gems in a bad bill that aid so few but have a huge political impact.

Big handouts for energy companies and 20,000 farmers.

6. I let Nelson know before, during & after.
But he never listens to me. Won't stop me from calling, emailing, faxing & writing 4-5 times a week.
