Iraq finds bodies of 20 kidnapped bus drivers

BAGHDAD, July 12 (Reuters) - Iraqi security forces said they had found the bodies of 20 bus drivers who had been kidnapped north of Baghdad earlier on Wednesday.

Police had put the number of bus drivers kidnapped in Miqdadiya, 100 km (60 miles) northeast of the capital at 12, but Major General Ahmed al-Awad said 20 bodies had been found after gunmen snatched a group of drivers from a station.

5. There have been about 150 people killed in just 3 days
over there. It's a mess.

It kind of looks like they are just going for the "terror" thing - where just ordinary people are scared to death to even go out the front door.

But Rumsfeld went over today - that should make us all feel good.:sarcasm:

7. OK, so now you can no longer shop or go to a mosque without fear of
death or drive your car through a different neighborhood -- and now you can't take the bus? WTF? Noone will be able to stand this for long in Iraq. Top it all off with no electricity, jobs or potable water...

9. An inside look at Baghdad
A woman in Baghdad has been writing a blog about the conditions in her country since the Iraq war. Based on her reports, it just sounds like complete chaos; people dying everywhere, people afraid to leave their homes. I don't know how much longer people can stand it either - but I guess they don't have a choice.
