Under Fire, Bush Meets Families of Iraq War Dead
Edited on Mon Nov-24-03 08:20 PM by Marianne
"We're sending a clear message: Anyone who seeks to harm our soldiers can know that our great soldiers are hunting for them," Bush told Fort Carson troops and families on a stop en route to an extended vacation at his Crawford, Texas, ranch.

Interesting that this article notes that Bush stops "en route" to an "extended" vacation at Crawfordl How nice of him. Another vacation and a little bone thrown to the families of the dead on his way! Bastard

These two inappropriate, disconnected photos accompanied this article:

and the caption says:
President George W. Bush shakes hands after speaking to U.S. military personnel and family members at the Butts Army Air Field inside Fort Carson, Colorado, November 24, 2003. At the base hard hit by Iraq war losses, Bush met with the families of 26 of the dead and vowed to answer attacks on U.S. troops with more force as he defended the invasion and his response to mounting casualties. (Larry Downing/Reuters)

Please note the dress up military costume he is wearing this time. and please note that he is not QUALIFIED to do so, having avoided any combat duty during wartime, and indeed, going AWOL during the same.

United States Ambassador John Negroponte, left, and Secretary General Kofi Annan are shown after the Security Council at U.N. Headquarters in New York voted unanimously to revise the sanctions against people and entities linked to Saddam Hussein Monday, Nov. 24, 2003. (AP Photo/David Karp) Why this ishere I have no idea.

Then we get this rather negative paragraph:

he mother of a soldier from Fort Carson who died in the downing of a Chinook helicopter near Falluja has lashed out at Bush for not acknowledging her loss when he visited her home state of South Carolina.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=578&e=4&u=/nm/20031125/ts_nm/iraq_bush_dc

and to end it all, this"
I want to thank the families of the fallen soldiers who are here with us today. Our prayers are with you. We ask for God's strength and God's guidance," Bush told the troops. "Our nation will never forget the sacrifice their loved one made to protect us all."

Yeah sure--he wants to "thank" the families for the sacrifice of their children for his quest for Halliburton's profits. Prayers are great things to invoke--a lot of people will forgive anything even the deaths of their own children if the cause is wrapped in "prayers" and "God's strength and God's guidance" to "protect us all"

I cannot stand it any longer--there was nothing that these troops were "protecting us from" Cannot they see that? There was NOTHING there in Iraq and we killed thousands of their innocent civilians--

the very troops that Bush is invoking the "God's strength and guidance" upon, killed thousand of other human beings who were no threat at all to us--we did not NEED to be protected from them!

It was all a great big lie from this AWOL piece of cowardly shit. These troops who are now dead, whose families are mourning and wailing, were used by this piece of unelected shit and now he has the nerve to invoke a god, prayers and the "protection" that we will get from this God if we just can kill some more of them! Using the sacrificial troops--under a god!

And the people will buy it because they will buy anything that has the "god" label attached--I feel for these families and their angst at the loss of their children and I feel for their willingess to believe this AWOL piece of shit; They will never be the same. I only hope they can see through this farce, this god farce at some point-their children were merely used by a cowardly man who stops by to see them on his way to ANOTHER vacation with his fat assed lazy ever smiling wife, who loves traveling to Europe on our dollars and being a princess--but he sees fit to preach a god to them on his way to his vacation away from it all--away from the deaths of all those people, the deaths he has caused with his lies. This is a disgusting man--

1. How can that terrorist have the honor
of sitting next to Kofi Annan? He says he wasn't involved with the Central America scandal during the Reagan administration, but he was the fricking ambassador. And Bush is only meeting with soldiers in a Republican state? On top of that, why don't he have the courage to attend a funeral once in a while.

11. "BRING EM ON" shouted the Cowardly AWOL Chimpanzee
"We'll sell you oil", screamed the Hallliburton Execs

"Oh my God, my son is Dead," weeped the new Gold Star Mother.

"Buy 1000 HAL at the market", observed the Republican campaign donor.

3. Beneath contempt
Isn't that something? "Our" own "pResident" has to be shamed into meeting with the family of the soldier's he's sent to die for nothing. Notice that AWOL was Johnny on The Spot in England, meeting with the families of their dead. I guess Americans aren't quite as important as looking good for the British press.

I hate this cocksucker. The depth of my white hot hatred for him can scarcely be expressed. Your post above should be echoed on a thousand spots all over the net, because lordy knows the press in this country will never rise to the occassion.

1 (800) 839 - 5276 - TOLL FREE to Capitol Hill. This is the free switchboard number that will transfer you, just for the asking, to anybody's office in the House and/or Senate.

Use it in the morning to give the rethugs hell and try to add some calcium supplement to the backbones (such as they are) of our Dem "leadership."

This shit has to stop! And this Piece-of-Shit-in-Chief has to be stopped, too.

4. Can we all use the words "prance" and "dress up" when he's
running around in military garb? I find this man completely disgusting and beneath contempt.

14. It doesn't look like a military uniform
He's just wearing an Army jacket.

We're almost at 500 dead. And W. gets to go for another vacation, does he?

8. Lets see, this is Monday
so that makes his Thanksgiving holiday a WEEK long! What a loser. Of course, I shouldn't complain as he only does harm when he 'works'. They played a blurb of his speech (linking terrorists and Iraq) and the loud applause of the troops. Sounds like campaigning to me but he gets the airtime for free. These last few days make me afraid, very afraid for the election....

16. Bush needs epaulets and a cap with some snazzy gold symbols
I mean, he hasn't quite found his Glorious Leader Uniform (GLU) yet, has he?

The White House should hire some good fascist-fashion designers, to give the Chimp in Chief the kind of Police State sartorial splendor that will MOVE the masses.

To complete his new uniform, might I suggest that he carry a modified pom-pom as an accessory. Perhaps something in red, white, and blue to help sell the image of patriotism (nudge, nudge - wink, wink). The pom-pom will highlight Bush's new look, and remind voters of his courageous days as a cheerleader at the exclusive boys school where he was a preppy, just like poppy.

A preppy just like Poppy? Oh oh, I made a funny.

I suppose one could also say he is a Boner just like Poppy is a Boner. But I would not. (Keepers of the Skull and Bones Krypt (tezenanay fritz bigabeanboo quiznick. Shazzam. I am cyber-invisible to you. Rodiranto).

And other seKrEt cOdE wurDs
