3. That's awful news
As I understand it, he was in the program and had been so for some years. I guess his disease spoke to him in a loud voice. I, for one, will send good thoughts his way, and will hope that this is just a speed bump in his recovery. Happens to the best.

4. Then he kicks a cop, and sings to the jailers!

PHOENIX, Arizona (CNN) -- Country singer Glen Campbell spent several hours in a Maricopa County jail cell Monday evening on drunken driving, hit and run, and assault charges, after a series of incidents police say started with a minor car wreck near his Phoenix home.

Campbell finally went home after a magistrate set a $2,000 bond early Tuesday and ordered him to submit to alcohol and drug monitoring until his next court appearance.

Police said Campbell's mood swung from combative to congenial and back to combative, including a kicking assault on a sergeant and a short jailhouse concert.

5. sad, indeed
Glen's addictions have been causing him to run roughshod over his loved ones for many years. He (like Leif Garrett) proclaimed his sobriety/freedom from drugs on "Behind the Music." And both took a hard fall. Very sad when the demons return from hibernation.

Now, Leif is certainly a lame-ass.

However, while Glen's music may have been just too squeaky-clean-pop for words ... GOD, what a talented musician. Listening to some of his old session work on the guitar ... seeing him play other instruments (such as the BAGPIPES) on his old shows ... what a shame.

6. He needs to hit some more meetings.
He's too old to be still running around getting crazy like that.
