Technological Dub Erases a Bush Flub for a Republican Ad
It may be called the Case of the Disappearing Pause.

When President Bush laid out the potential threat that unconventional weapons posed in Saddam Hussein's hands last year in his State of the Union address last year, he became tongue-tied at an inopportune moment.

The line read, "It would take one vial, one canister, one crate, slipped into this country to bring a day of horror like none we have ever known." But Mr. Bush stumbled between the words "one" and "vial." And when at the word vial, he pronounced the "v" as if it were a "w."

Yet in a new Republican commercial that borrows excerpts from that speech, Mr. Bush delivers that line as smoothly as any other in the address, without a pause between "one" and "vial," and the v in "vial" sounds strong and sure.

more,...............

1. And noone is going to give a damn.
At least if you pay attention to the "liberal media" that is. There will be virtually nothing said about this.

5. An indictment...........
Edited on Tue Nov-25-03 02:08 AM by DumpGump
of Bush's entire life. Always being cleaned up after, his mistakes smoothed over, erased, handled. Left to stand on his own, the idiot boy would probably starve to death or at the very least, screw things up to a point where all the king's horsemen and all the king's men, wouldn't be able to put Humpty Geroge back together again.
What the public sees and what the public is told is a far cry from the actual substance of this shallow little man.

13. I already saw the two different versions on our Canuk TV

. . The video is the same

. . but the normal difficulty that Junior has with regular English was obvious in the original.

We saw both versions played one after the other, the difference was not hard to spot.

if anyone gets to "capture" the video

- I'm sure a "slow-motion" would show that what we "hear" is not what his lips are saying.

Well, as if THAT's LBN !!!

To err is human,

but then ur pResident may not fit into that category!!
