Lebanon situation 'catastrophic', half million displaced: UNICEF

BEIRUT, July 18, 2006 (AFP) - The humanitarian situation in Lebanon is "catastrophic" as 500,000 people have been displaced by the Israeli onslaught on the country, the representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Beirut, Roberto Laurenti, told AFP Tuesday.
