The Defense Department is investigating whether former Air Force acquisitions official Darleen Druyun gave the Boeing Co. a rival's proprietary information about a missile defense contract.
(snip)
Boeing spokesman John Dern said the Chicago-based aerospace company was cooperating in all aspects of the investigation. Dern said he didn't know the full scope of the Defense Department investigation.
Dern said the company had advised Michael M. Sears, whom it fired Monday along with Druyun, to seek legal counsel.
Dern did not know whether Boeing advised Druyun and her daughter Heather McKee, a St. Louis-based human resources specialist for supplier management and procurement at Boeing, to do the same.
Druyun had been vice president and general manager of Boeing's Missile Defense Systems unit.
Boeing fired Sears, once considered a major contender to succeed Chief Executive Phil Condit, for violating company policies while considering Druyun for employment and for trying to conceal his actions. Specifically, Boeing said Sears communicated directly and indirectly with Druyun about working for Boeing before she disqualified herself from "acting in her official government capacity."

Looks like these crooks have hit bankrupt with this spin, however.
