DETROIT TV: Maryann Mahaffey dies. (City councilwoman)

Not yet listed on websites.

This is a woman who marched on the streets with the people.

There is so much to say. I'm glad she is at peace after her illness lead her to leave office a short while ago.

1. Council members who are appreciated and respected by their

constituents are rare. Getting out and marching with the people really means something to a lot of us...I know that it does to me, so even though I am not from Detroit, nor do I know her, I appreciate her as you describe her, a politician of the people.
