U.S. faces backlash over house raids in Iraq

. . "But as CTV's Lisa LaFlamme reports from Baghdad, those pressure tactics are also serving to terrorize civilians in Iraq, and as a result, fostering anti-American fury amongst once-supportive Iraqis.

According to David Milne of the Christian Peacemaker Team, the house-to-house searches intended to stop Iraq's simmering rebellion may be backfiring with outcomes entirely contrary to their goals.

"U.S. troops are contributing to the insurgency by their actions. They're creating more and more insurgents by the way they behave," the human rights worker told CTV News.

Crticism was heard from one high profile voice Wednesday, when the White House's former top man in Baghdad lashed out at the decision to disband the Iraqi army.

"You're talking about around a million or more people ... that are suffering because the head of the household's out of work," providing potential recruits for the anti-U.S. insurgency, Jay Garner said.

1. they don't learn from history....
Their best laid plans for American Imperialism in the middle east is doomed to failure. Unfortunately a lot more lives will be lost before it is over....

3. I say the US Predator Class is learning from history
They've been able to get away
w/ more for a longer period of
time than ever before.

Never before has such wealth
been created and held by
fewer people.

And until the USEmpire is destroyed
you can expect the home destruction,
hostages and torture
to come ever closer to a place
near you. And you are just
One Cannon Fodder Unit.

Don't get me wrong, the USEmpire
will fail. But it's up to the Predator Class
to determine how bloody that failure
will be.

There is a formula at work: How many US
soldiers dead before the US retreats.
