Reservist Army intelligence officer at Guantanamo Bay charged with violating security

By MICHELLE FAUL
Associated Press Writer

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) -- An Army reservist on six-month assignment at the U.S. detention camp in Guantanamo Bay has been charged with violating security for allegedly transporting secret documents illegally.

Army Col. Jack Farr, an intelligence officer, became the fourth person charged with breaches at Guantanamo Bay. Two Arabic translators and a Muslim chaplain face charges ranging from espionage to adultery at the base, where interrogators are questioning some 660 detainees from 44 countries.

Farr was charged Saturday with "wrongfully transporting classified material without the proper security container on or around Oct. 11,'' and lying to investigators, said a statement from the U.S. Southern Command.

Spokesman Lt. Commander Chris Loundermon, speaking from the command's headquarters in Miami, said he did not know if Farr had direct contact with detainees. He declined to describe the classified material. (snip/...)

1. "adultery at the base"
So, Mr. Yee had sex with a female member of the U.S. armed forces at Gitmo? Or are there civilian employees at the base?

How did the authorities find out about it?

Inquiring minds want to know.

2. And another thing!
If the woman Mr. Yee had sex with is a member of the armed forces, shouldn't she be charged for aiding and abetting adultery, or whatever?

Or are they going to charge Yee with having a homosexual affair? The authorities said he viewed pornography on his computer. (Truth in Advertising: I've see a little pornography while cleaning spam out of my computer. Book me, Danno!)

3. Yee was front and center for 2 days on ProGovMedia
We won't here about this on TV.

Joseph Yee, the Chaplain's father thanked
his son's lawyers and support groups. He
decried the decision made by the Army. "I
question why they are not dropping existing
charges and are, instead, adding new ones.
It started with allegations of spying, espionage,
and treason. Now we have character assassination
with smut charges that are more commonly
seen in tabloids. His life will never be the same
and his present career is probably over due to
the initial allegations. Now his reputation is further
besmirched with these false, ugly accusations.
His loyalty to America, the Chaplain Corps, and
his devotion to his duty should
have been commended....
