Venezuela closes Colombia border
Last Updated: Sunday, 30 November, 2003, 05:53 GMT

Venezuela closes Colombia border

The signature collection is taking place amid tight security
Venezuela says it has closed parts of its border with Colombia to stop fraud in an campaign to force a referendum on President Hugo Chavez's rule.

The move was designed to stop unregistered voters from crossing into Venezuela to sign a petition.

The opposition, which wants to remove the president in a referendum, says the closure is illegal. (snip)

(snip) Vice-President Jose Vicente Rangel said the border closures were a response to intelligence reports that people with fake Venezuelan identity cards were trying to cross over from Colombia. (snip/...)

Columbia is crawling with decades worth of US "military advisors" and the kind of people we've been "advising".

Hope there are a few European camera crews inside already! ;)

2. Alot have gone in since 2000.
We have our own little army down there, but it is really in the back ground. The army of the oil pipe line. As Of yet we can not say we are saving the people, as they keep voting in the man they want and we do not want. He wants to nationalize things for the people.

3. Venezuela needs to hire some liar GOP Media Whores! Just call them
Al Qaeda terrorist crossing the borders and 'Venezuels fully supports the war on terrorism and requests U.S. funds to properly seal the border.' Then find some guy like the Shoe Bomber who doesn't have enough sense, planned or not, to bring along a gas butane lighter on his ultra top secret mission which he had trained in the world's most horrific Al Qaeda terrorist camps, (which also somehow forgot to teach it's recruits NOT to bring 1950 sulfur matches opting for the more reliable 50 cent gas butane lighters which every smoker used to carry onto planes.) (And the world's most deadly trainers also forgot to teach its terrorists to go into the bathroom and lock the door before committing these acts.) Ramble ramble... and make the Venezuela Shoe Bomber do something stupid and catch him so that you can enact the Venezuela Patriot Act and wipe out all opposing viewpoints.

Well, I just woke up:
1. The Shoe Bomber was eiter set up with some kind of mind control
or
2. He's now had a face change and in the witness protection program on a beach in Hawaii.
