GOP accused of flip-flop on DUI issue

State Democrats are accusing Republicans of flip-flopping on two drunken driving bills that have become a central issue in the November election.
Republicans have criticized Democratic legislators who voted for the bills, which required the state to hold a hearing before taking away an alleged drunk driver’s license, including someone who pled “no contest” in court instead of innocent or guilty.
But only one Republican delegate — Ron Walters of Kanawha County — actually voted against the drunken driving change all three times it came before him.
