Korea raises nuclear stakes over sanctions (H-Bomb Threat)
NORTH Korea has again raised the stakes in its game of nuclear poker by threatening to test a hydrogen bomb that would be even more powerful than a nuclear device.

The new high card has been played by North Korea's unofficial spokesman in Tokyo, Kim Myong-chol, who, aside from threatening an even bigger bomb as a "countermeasure", said that another nuclear test was the thing that "first comes to mind".

It is news bound to rattle regional leaders who are rapidly running out of aces. The leaders of South Korea and China will meet today in Beijing about North Korea, their first face-to-face meeting since Monday's nuclear test.

Mr Kim's choice of words was in line with the comments of a senior North Korean diplomat who also spoke darkly of "countermeasures" particularly aimed at Japan.

1. HEy aWoL pay attention. This is what happens when you bully
everyone. Sooner or later some one stands up and pokes you in the eye.
The world is racing to ruin and the idiot bush thinks he is playing risk.

2. Um, we don't even know if that test was sucessful
I'm willing to be that an H-Bomb test would fail like their recent test and their missile test.

3. an H-bomb? who is this guy trying to fool?
You need a working A-bomb for that; a bomb with more than 1 kiloton yield.

6. I believe they have the designs
for these devices so its a matter of quality control in the production of the device. Things that can be corrected after a little trial and error more than likely. So I would caution against underestimating what they might accomplish in further tests.
