Various versions of this out there.Kabul - A soldier of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and eight Afghan civilians were killed Friday in a suicide attack on foreign troops in the southern city of Kandahar, the ISAF said.
One ISAF soldier and an unspecified number of Afghan civilians were wounded in the blast, caused when a bomber, who also died, drove an explosives-packed car into an ISAF convoy, the ISAF said.
Major Dominic White, an ISAF spokesman, did not release the nationality of the NATO casualties. Canadian troops make up the largest foreign force in Kandahar.
Semarai Bashari, a spokesman for the Afghan Interior Ministry, said five civilians were hurt along with the two ISAF troops.
