Dean Sends Senior Staff to Iowa
Dean Sends Senior Staff to Iowa

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) -- Democratic front-runner Howard Dean has dispatched two top aides to Iowa, hoping to weather intensifying criticism in the closing weeks of the state's presidential caucus.

Tricia Enright, the campaign's communication director, and Mike Ford, right-hand man to campaign manager Joe Trippi, plan to work in Iowa through the Jan. 19 caucuses -- the first major test of the nominating fight.

Dean is in a pitched battle with Rep. Dick Gephardt, the Missouri lawmaker who won the 1988 Iowa caucuses without the strong union backing he has now. Dean hopes to knock Gephardt from the race in Iowa and use the momentum to win the Jan. 27 primary in New Hampshire, where polls show the former Vermont governor far ahead of his closest challengers.

Most Democratic strategists say they believe back-to-back victories would make Dean's nomination drive enormously difficult to stop.

3. He is up against everyone
on both sides. Luckily there is no touch screen voting in Iowa!! If he pulls off the victory there, he is STRONG, folks, very Strong and the establishment knows it.

Go Dean.

6. questions for you
my friend

1) Who are the two that you are referring to and why are you "ignoring" them?

2) If I am correct in assuming that you are putting posters on your ignore list because they are in support of a democratic candidate for president in 2004, why did you not just read only the news article that was posted and just go on - why the comment about "ignoring"?

3) If you do not want news about a particular candidate, there is a new feature that allows you just to "ignore" an entire posting

4) Did the rest of us out here fall asleep and miss something that has made you believe that someone has pissed in your Wheaties?

5)Are you just having a bad day?

6) What's the beef here?

9. If you're gonna put all Dean supporters on ignore.....
You'll hardly have any threads to look at. A big bulk of DU supports Dean for president.

Nearly every statement or campaign response from them is spot on plus.
