Iraqi forces find donkeys laden with anti-tank mines near Iran border
Edited on Thu Nov-02-06 06:10 AM by ECH1969
Iraqi security forces intercepted six donkeys carrying 53 anti-tank mines and an anti-tank rocket near the border with Iran, the U.S. military said.

A U.S.-led coalition bomb disposal team detonated the munitions in a safe area, the military said today in an e-mailed statement. Two men fled the vicinity of yesterday's interception, three miles from the border, and the donkeys were set free to roam.

Iran and Iraq fought an eight-year war that ended in 1988 and left about one million people dead. Since the 2003 ouster of Saddam Hussein, though, the two countries have expanded economic and energy ties.

and after all, the donkey is the symbol of the Democratic Party. How much more obvious can you get that the Democrats sanctioned and encouraged this?
