Schwarzenegger Urges Iraq Pullout Deadline

SAN FRANCISCO — Governor Schwarzenegger is calling for a deadline to withdraw American troops from Iraq, despite President Bush's protests that a rigid timetable would embolden terrorists.

"I think that we should get out of there as quickly as we can. We should give a deadline of when we pull the troops out and figure that out and work together with the government in Iraq, which I think they're doing now," Mr. Schwarzenegger said in an interview yesterday with KPIX-TV. Reminded of Mr. Bush's opposition, the governor replied, "Well, I think that eventually you will have to put a deadline on there. I think the American people will demand it," he said.

Mr. Schwarzenegger, a Republican who has broken with the White House on issues from stem cell research to global warming, is facing re-election next Tuesday in a state where Mr. Bush and the Iraq War are both widely unpopular.

1. He's ahead in the polls. I wonder why he cares?
I live in California. We call him Schwarzenidiot. It's fitting.

7. I understand he has campaign ads in which he doesn't SPEAK
and that they're pretty good. Is that true?

8. I haven't seen one of his ads. I live in an area he won't win, so why bother?
I have only seen two Angledis ads, but again, this is an area where the Democrat almost always wins, so I'm sure swing areas have way more ads running.

3. Schwarzenazi deserves an Oscar for his acting this year
He's doing a pretty good job acting as a Democrat. Too bad more Californians - er, I mean Kahleefahneans - can't see through his act.

5. Now HERE'S a guy who understands politics
He's taking no chances.

Who knows what he really feels about the war; perhaps this is sincere. The timing, however, and his history makes it HIGHLY suspect.

We must always bear in mind that all conservatives don't cleave to the same faults. They're a very broad coalition of fiscal conservatives, social conservatives, fundamentalists, other assorted fantasists, racist thugs, libertarians and a host of other oddballs.

Arnold is a fiscal conservative, but only a bit of a social one. His schtick is that there should be no safety net and that anyone who isn't making it in this society is just inferior or lazy. Scratch him hard enough and you'll see the basic economic eugenics of the social darwinist. Money is his thing, and he sees regulation and taxes as an affront to the superior, who should be coddled and sustained as living gods.

This move sounds like savvy politickin': ahead though he may be, he's taking no chances.

I live in Kah-lee-fornya, too, and he's twisted and dodged as much as he can to serve his corporate masters by screwing Kevin Shelley, nurses and anyone else who gets in the way of the monied elite. His careful maneuvering this year has been masterful, and we're suckers to swallow it. Looks like it's working, though.

9. Hey Arnold, did we ask you?
No? Then STFU!

Sorry...he is doing this in the hopes that we will amend the Constitution to let him run for president. What the hell, we're amending it for everything else! (grrrr...)

10. Whenever someone says Shcwarzenidiot isn't too bad, ask them to do this:
"Please tell me which of Schwarzenegger's policies you prefer to Angeledis, and cite legitimate sources." Give them a chance to give you that blank stare. Finish up with "Can't do that? Then you're simply voting for the movie star."

Works every time.
