White House says it's in Dem's DNA to spend money

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- With four days until the midterm elections, the White House hopes to hammer home their contention that a Democratic Congress would raise taxes on middle-class Americans.

White House Communications Director Dan Bartlett said in an interview on CNN Friday that Democrats have a "huge appetite," and it's "fundamentally within their DNA to spend money."

Bartlett also claimed that Democrats will raise taxes on all income levels, not just the rich as they have maintained.

"The only way they can pay for it, is what they will call is so- called just taxing the rich, Bartlett said. “The problem is they have a long record of taxing everybody when they do that."

the pockets of the wealthy. Why not just admit to the truth and keep moving on?

Not all, but many. Like 98% of the Republicans currently in Congress, and 99.9% working in the White House (Barney saves the WH from being 100%).

Just how much debt are we in due to those fiscally-responsible Republicans who have been in charge of the purse-strings?

This is beyond pot meet kettle. The GOP reminds me of too many people out there who say, "No, I didn't spend ANY MONEY - I just put it on my credit card!"

RIP, GOP.

13. Their real problem is that dems spend money on the wrong things
like a social safety network, college scholarships for traditionally disadvanged citizens, enforcing environmental protection measures.

Under democrats "all the wrong sort of people" get money spent on them. Under republicans, money goes only to the "right sort".

Wink, wink, you know what I mean right?

Sarcasm off now.

policy of non-negotiable prescription drugs. I cannot imagine how even a sociopath like Bush has the unmitigated gall to address dems as spenders with his record of corporate give-aways and other spending atrocities. There may be only one way to bring these losers down and that is to refuse to pay our taxes next year. Even Bush would be hard pressed to put us all in jail. Let the Bushites pay for his outrageous wars since they like him and them so much. Let Haliburton pay itself. Now that is a winning idea. I could run for president on that platform!
