we need the details of course but the last time I was in Amsterdam many people were complaining about the "North Africans" (read: black muslims from Egypt, Libya, Morocco, & Algeria) in the same way some Americans complain about Mexicans, but with a terrorist twist.

Some of it was plain racisim, but some of it was real fear of terrorists in their country. It's a difficult thing for the Dutch to deal with cause they really want to be tolerant, but are afraid and very angry since the murder of Theo Van Gogh.
