Democrats win majority of governorships
(CNN) -- Six governorships switched from Republican to Democratic in Tuesday's election, giving Democrats control of a majority of top state posts for the first time in 12 years.

...........

Unlike controlling the House or Senate, having a majority of governorships has little practical effect, because governors operate independently of each other. However, a switch gives Democrats bragging rights and access to state political organizations that could be helpful in the 2008 presidential election.

2. Is it a tsunami yet?
Dems are now in control of the House, probably the Senate, the governorships and the state legislatures. Bushco. is DONE.

7. Speaking of Ohio
We did pretty well, not only completely destroying Ken Blackwell for governor, who gave election 2004 to Bush, but also winning the secretary of state position which Blackwell vacated. It would be interesting to see statistics about other races for more minor positions across the nation, as these can also affect the fairness of elections.

8. There are going to be some serious dirty tricks
exposed when the newly elected start investigating in Ohio. Watching Blackwell burn was one of my favorite moments yesterday. He was key operative for bringing fascism to America and needs to be held accountable. :hi:

6. It has great practical effect.
It affects the primary process and redistricting, from which all else flows.
