Iraq Leader Feels U.S. Won't Shift Policy
Iraq's prime minister on Thursday said he did not anticipate any major U.S. policy shift toward Iraq but some "tactical changes" after Democrats won control of Congress, which remains sharply divided over U.S. policy in Iraq.

"In our opinion, there won't be any major shift in U.S. policy toward Iraq," Nouri al-Maliki told a news conference here. "There might be some tactical changes after Democrats victory."

"In any case, we're partners and allies and will continue our close work," al-Maliki said.
