Prosecutors seek 20-year term for Noe
Article published Friday, November 17, 2006

Filing suggests court costs and fines could exceed $5M

Lucas County prosecutors are asking Judge Thomas Osowik to consider keeping Tom Noe in prison for at least 20 years and leveling fines and court costs of more than $5 million.

In a court filing yesterday, the prosecutors suggested that an 18-year sentence given to a Columbus lawyer for stealing from his clients was comparable, although they believe Noe’s crime was worse.

In addition, Prosecutor Julia Bates said yesterday she will ask Judge Osowik to make Noe’s prison term start after he serves 27 months for three federal campaign-finance offenses.

“It should be in line with the other kinds of situations that are similar,” Ms. Bates said.

2. Amazing how many criminals Bu*h has been photographed
with. I wonder if anyone has a collection of photos showing Bu*h with Lay, Ney, Abramoff, DeLay, Noe, Cunningham, etc. respectively.

3. Remember the important stuff:
Clinton allowed contributors to stay overnight in the White House. Heinous.
