Cheney says no troops withdrawal from Iraq
\
U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney said on Friday that the U.S. forces would not "retreat" from Iraq.

Addressing a powerful conservative lawyers' association, Cheney said U.S. military withdrawal from Iraq would encourage terrorist violence.

"Some in our country may believe in good faith that retreating from Iraq would make America safer. Recent experience teaches the opposite lesson," he said.

"To get out before the job is done would convince the terrorists, once again, that free nations will change our policies, forsake our friends and abandon our interests whenever we are confronted with violence and blackmail."

4. Nice strawman there, Cheney.
Nice to know that we have a Kissinger clone running the show. I guess these assholes weren't content with losing Vietnam...they had to come back and lose another one.

7. "before the job is done" -- Exactly what is "the job?"
That's the question nobody can, or will answer. At first "the job" was deposing Hussein and ridding the world of the threat of his nuclear bombs. We did #1, and #2 was a lie. "Mission accomplished." We're nothing more than a foreign occupying force, brutalizing the citizens who don't want us there, and protecting the process of western-style privatization of Iraq's natural resources so their benefit goes into the pockets of bush and cheney.

So what is "the job" now? Pummel the civilian population until they accept our permanent occupation? Prop up the puppet "government?" Keep killing them until they stop killing us?

Exactly what is "the job," mister cheney?

11. What 'retreat' caused 911?
Cheney - "Some in our country may believe in good faith that retreating from Iraq would make America safer. Recent experience teaches the opposite lesson,"

What the fuck is he talking about? What previous 'retreat' experience caused us to be unsafe. How many Vietcong terrorist attacks were there in the US?

24. Mr. Vice President! Shut up. Step away from the shredder and ...
...turn those documents over to Senator Leahy.

I, like others posters, am clueless to what the recent experience is that Cheney refers to.

Psst Dick, you could call it a strategic phased withdrawal to accelerate the rebuilding process. Just don't say you heard it here.

Stay the course Dick and prove just what a dick you are. You have 100 million now, isn't that enough? How are you going to spend it in your remaining years? How many more people have to die for your selfishness? I really hope you rot in hell or karma gives you a whooping.

The ones that weren't attacking the USA out of Iraq? Or the ones the USA created by invading Iraq?

God I hate Dick Cheney. The man is pure evil.
