Bush won't commit to Iraq troop changes
Nov 2, 2006

BOGOR, Indonesia - President Bush said Monday that he hasn't decided yet on whether to send more U.S. troops to Iraq or to begin bringing them home, saying he is awaiting recommendations from the military. He also shrugged off heavy demonstrations that greeted him in Indonesia, saying it was a sign of a healthy democracy.

Bush was asked about proposals by some members of Congress, including 2008 presidential hopeful John McCain, to send more troops to Iraq in an effort to stabilize the country.

"I haven't made any decisions about troop increases or troop decreases, and won't until I hear from a variety of sources," Bush replied.

So the decider hasn't decided. Gee wiz W, we've only been in this mess for 3.5 years. You think you would already have figured out the answers to these questions.

4. That was the plan after all
Michael Ledeen = “Stability is an unworthy American mission, and a misleading concept to boot. We do not want stability in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and even Saudi Arabia; we want things to change. The real issue is not whether, but how to destabilize.”

the oil facilities.

The corporate cabal needs US military forces only to secure the oil facilities. As troops were deployed to do this, the result was more chaos and violence in the cities. Everything is actually going according to the neocon plan. I don't think any of them really thought we would be "greeted as liberators." That was nonsense propaganda, The neocons knew full well that we would have a war. But in their craven calculations, they realized billions of US taxpayer money could be transferred to the super-rich, which is still occurring as I type. Now, the neocons are delaying the inevitable withdrawal by saying "it needs studying." Nice decisiveness there, Mr. Decider. They will attempt to keep US forces in Iraq as long as possible and as many as possible. They know they will eventually lose their goose that lays golden eggs, but they will squeeze every last dime out of it before they do.
