Gingerbread Nazi Display Pulled From Oberlin Store Window

OBERLIN, Ohio -- An Oberlin businessman who has allowed his hardware store's window to hold controversial art in the past says a display of Nazi gingerbread men has gone too far.

Charlie Palmer plans to pull the display by local artist Keith McGuckin.

McGuckin said he deliberately picked the subject to provoke thought, not offend anyone.

The artist put up the display on Friday after Palmer left. The store owner said he put a blanket over it once he started hearing negative comments over the weekend.

...The warped and disreputable artist who created that "artist's conception" of that other artist's work is, um (looking around).... Yeah, it's definitely me.

I have no idea what the actual artist's work looks like. I was just doodling with visions of a gingerbread Leni Riefenstahl in my head.
