Report: First Daughter Barbara Bush Robbed
Edited on Tue Nov-21-06 06:53 PM by RamboLiberal
http://people.aol.com/people/article/0,26334,1562214,00.html

One of president Bush's twin daughters, Barbara Bush, was robbed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, ABC News reports.

The first daughter had her purse and cell phone stolen while dining in the city's picturesque San Telmo neighborhood – even though Secret Service agents were guarding her, says ABC News citing law enforcement reports.

According to the reports, the Secret Service failed to notice the incident. The alleged robbery happened during Barbara's first night in town.

The Secret Service had no comment. The First Lady's press secretary, Susan Whitson, was unavailable for comment.

http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/11/first_daughter_.html

First Daughter Barbara Bush had her purse and cell phone stolen as she had dinner in a restaurant in Buenos Aires, Argentina, even though she was being guarded by a detail of Secret Service agents, according to law enforcement reports made available to ABC News.

It was not the only mishap on the two-week trip to Argentina by Barbara and her twin sister Jenna.

A Secret Service agent on the advance detail got into an "altercation" with someone after a night out and was badly beaten, according to the law enforcement reports. The Secret Service said today the incident was an attempted mugging that occurred while the agent was on his own time. The agent is doing fine.

The purse snatching took place on Barbara's first night in town while she was dining in the picturesque San Telmo neighborhood. According to the reports, the Secret Service agents failed to notice the incident.

Geez, the Secret Service is having a bit of a bad week. First daughter robbed, agent beaten up and an agent shot in a mall shooting.

Doesn't sound like we're getting much value, if they can't protect her from a common purse-snatcher.

11. Bingo.
That's the story here. We find out that she's in South America.

Sort of like how we found out that Mary Cheney was on the border of Iraq right before her father's illegal invasion of that country. Some foolishly thought she was on a "peace" mission. Nope.

With these monstrous people and their offspring its always all about one thing: money.

25. Nah that would be local police
I remember reading something last week about a hex being put on Bush - maybe it bounced off and hit those around him.

Three police motorcycle officers were injured when they crashed on slick pavement while escorting his motorcade on Tuesday. Two were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where one was described as in serious condition and another was described as stable.

Members of the White House medical team — including an ambulance — were cut loose from the motorcade to help, said Dr. Richard Tubb, Bush's doctor. Local ambulance and fire units were sent, too.

Also, acting White House Travel Office Director Gregg Pitts was beaten and robbed by at least two men while out in Honolulu Monday night. Pitts suffered head and other injuries in the attack. He was awake and alert but remained behind at a Honolulu hospital because of a possible concussion, White House spokesman Tony Fratto said.

48. Hahaha! Barbarian Bush.
I kid you not. Using Google language translation, it came up with that.

An official source, that requested not to be identified, confirmed state agency Télam that the episode happened when Barbarian Bush last night was surprised by delinquents who removed the portfolio to him.

And apparently she got into some nasty exchange with some locals. I wonder how that happened-

The ABC note News, that mentions a report of the secret service, in addition indicated that a secret agent that she had arrived previously by the visit at the country of the daughter of the American president underwent “an argument” with strangers.

41. Story of WH staffer beaten in Hawaii and motorcycle accident
The acting director of the White House Travel Office was robbed and beaten in Waikiki early on Tuesday morning outside a nightclub, according to Honolulu police.

Three men mugged Greg Pitts at about 2 a.m. while he was walking through the International Marketplace near Bobby G's Dance Club, police said.

Pitts accompanied President George W. Bush on a brief visit to Hawaii. The stop came after an eight-day trip to Asia.

While Bush stayed at Hickam Air Force Base, White House staff, crew from the airplane and reporters stayed at Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki.

http://www.thehawaiichannel.com/news/10373190/detail.html

Two of the three Honolulu Police Department motorcycle officers involved in a crash while escorting President George W. Bush to Hickam Air Force Base are in serious condition at The Queen's Medical Center.
The motorcycles reportedly slipped indvidually on a rain-slicked roadway at about 7:10 a.m near the base entry area.

City Emergency Services transported two of the officers to the medical center. Police officials said that by mid-morning two of the officers were in serious condition and the other was in good condition.

Anyone read the story about the SS having to get Jenna from a party at Ashton Kutchner's a few years ago? The party was foggy with the smell of weed.

When Jen and Barbara want to spark up, the SS has to look the other way so they can claim not witnessing it. Barbara was on a "smoke break" when she got robbed.

60. Mike Malloy says she got her purse back
"Apparently the thief wasn't interested in six bottles of grappa and a half-empty box of trojans."

No one is biting. Better go back to the "concern" chapter of the handbook.

62. WTF?
There is no reason the Secret Service should have let that happen... Were they just too far away or something?

63. Maybe someone's sending a message to the Bushes
Spats among elite super-crime families can get pretty ugly, at least in the movies. Maybe in real life too.

Jenna Bush's Bodyguards Rumble in Spain
AP news
June 15, 2004

MADRID, Spain (AP)--Bodyguards for President Bush's daughter were entangled in a fist fight with two men trying to steal a cell phone in southern Spain, a U.S. Embassy official said Tuesday.
The fight happened last Thursday while Jenna Bush was vacationing with some friends in the coastal city of Tarifa, continental Europe's southernmost point and a famous destination for wind surfers, embassy spokesman John Law said.
The 22-year-old Bush was sitting at a hotel terrace when two men tried to steal a cell phone on a nearby table. Law said it wasn't clear to whom the cell phone belonged, but Bush's bodyguards reacted immediately.

They're more on the level of Paris Hilton - extremely shallow and superficial.

They should have done a better job protecting her.

86. Are they suppose to protect her purse or her?
It depends on how many were with her. If they took after the purse snatcher, she's left unguarded. (Did she watch her purse and phone or leave it lay around?) If the SS agent took off after a robber, someone could have nabbed little Babs.

It could also be someone in the world that Daddy has clearly p.o.'d, (gee, who hasn't he? most likely one of his buziness dealings) and maybe a threatening message is being sent.

Sounds like they are partying down during Thanksgiving 'break' rather than spending quality time with the family.
