State and territory attorneys-general are stepping up their campaign to ensure Australian Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks gets a fair trial.
They have sent their federal counterpart, Philip Ruddock, a photo of Hicks's cell, along with a request that Hicks be brought to Australia to face trial.

Queensland Attorney-General Kerry Shine says the Federal Government should be doing more to help the Australian.

Mr Shine has accused the Federal Government of not demanding the return of Hicks to Australia because it does not want to upset the United States and has been reluctant to fight for a fair trial.
