Rasmussen: Bush Job Approval (9 point drop in 3 days - 35% their lowest ever)
Edited on Fri Jan-12-07 12:44 PM by Mark E. Smith
January 12, 2007

Just 35% of Americans now approve of the way that George W. Bush
is performing his role as President. That's down sharply in recent
days and is the lowest level of Approval ever measured by Rasmussen
Reports.

January 12 - 35% Approval 61% Disapproval
January 11 - 39% Approval 58% Disapproval
January 10 - 44% Approval 54% Disapproval

http://rasmussenreports.com/Bush_Job_Approval.htm

Even the GOP's favorite poll has pulled the pins on The Decider.

15. I think there was one poll like that at 29%.
We will start seeing high 20s in some polls if Rasmussen is this low and AP/IPSOS is at its lowest point as well.

did some polls get 90% approval after 9/11? I don't know anyone who approved of him even then? I can believe 70%.

4. Rasmussen has always leaned quite heavily Bush - so reality is
more likely in the mid 20's. Bush's terrible news is our great news - time for him to resign...and if he and Cheney do not, time to impeach - if not prosecute and jail!

he's on a mission from god. He and god are tight, they talk all the time and god has assured him that he's doing the right things. How can you argue with logic like that? The man is nuts and should be removed from office ASAP.

8. Great news, but why are there still 35% supporting him? I know
from watching a lot of C-SPAN this week that there are really ignorant people out there who still support him, but I still just can't understand it. Especially the poor and middle class who still believe in this delusional criminal.

11. Very True
and I might also add that I have been watching some of the debate on the House and Senate Floor, it's a real pleasure to see our Democratic Representatives in both chambers finally finding their voice. Plus having them controlling the vote results really makes me smile, not because we won, but because they are addressing issues the are "for people" instead of the pandering to corporations that has been the "mission" of the last couple of congresses.

12. They have their reasons...
One guy in another forum said that we have to keep a military presence in the Middle East to defend our(over-extravagant, energy-based) way of life in America and to maintain the safety of our ally, Israel.

He stated that if we left Iraq, Iran would control Iraq, and a strong Iran is bad for America.

So, some people HAVE given it thought. I just don't like their priorities.

"Stand by your Man".

it doesn't matter to them what he does, or how bad he fucks them over, he's "our" preznit so they feel they have to support him, lest we end up with a , gasp!, Democrat in office. they can't comprehend that they can disapprove of the president and still be good republicans.

16. Even Worse Than That... This is Bush's Death Spiral
As I pointed out yesterday, Rasmussen uses a three-day rolling average to smooth things out - which means that if it moved strongly negative today, it will probably move in the same direction tomorrow. Expect the low 30s by tomorrow.

This is the end, my friends - the Rethugs will spark impeachment within a month to get rid of Bush's stinking, tearful carcass.

Please pray that they go after Darth Birdshot at the same time.

34. Interesting
I've always wondered what percentage of the populace were so deluded that they'd stick with him when they got an honest picture of him. I always figured it would be over 10% and under 25%. I would truly love to see single digits.

I could be wrong about him, but I have the feeling that nothing will get him to resign. If he could look at the ISG and still conclude that "stay the course only more so" was the solution for him politically, I doubt he'll ever be in touch with reality.

35. Bush's motto: Quitting Is Losing.
He'll never resign--he'd rather destroy the Bush family name and drag the whole country into the shitter in the process. He's a complete megalomaniac, and is revealing himself as such a little more with each passing day. The public will be howling for his impeachment a year from now, if not sooner.

Isn't dropping 9 points in 3 days is something like what a friend of mine calls "cognitive gravity"? (Cognitive gravity can be said to have occurred when Wily E. Coyote looks down and realizes he's run clear off the edge of the cliff.)

His historical record will be written on toilet paper, so why not just put it in the restrooms at Daddy's library and let visitors there wipe there ass on it? Oh, that's right, Halliburton would only get a contract to supply toilet paper at $9.95 a roll.
