McCain touts ties with the right
In Dallas, senator says he's reached out to many evangelicals

Sen. John McCain said Monday that he has tried to mend fences with conservative evangelicals in Texas and elsewhere as he seeks the Republican nomination for president.

"I'm very pleased with the relationship I have with many Christian conservatives, and I think many of them would consider me favorably," Mr. McCain said Tuesday during a Dallas visit.

The Arizona Republican told The Dallas Morning News that he has "established a very good relationship" with the Rev. Jerry Falwell and has reached out to Richard Land, a one-time Criswell College professor who heads the public policy arm of the Southern Baptist Convention.

...

"They are a very important part of our party," said Mr. McCain. He added, "There are other parts of our party that are important as well."

1. And he's proud of that?
Well, whatever he wants to do. It won't do him any good in the '08 elections though.

3. As far as the wackos are concerned
there better not be any "other parts of our party that are important as well." Especially those parts with darker skin or those that don't believe they're gonna be hoovered up to heaven right out of their underwear or those that are gay etc etc. Once again spineless McCain is sucking up to those who trashed his wife and family, demonstrating that he is the most cowardly of all politicians.

politics and absolutely caused no harm to anyone. Did not in any way contribute to the rising tide of hatred in America and well, gee, it's just how the "game" is played.

As for this "part"

"They are a very important part of our party," said Mr. McCain. He added, "There are other parts of our party that are important as well."

6. Of course he does!
and in a general he'll try to show us how moderate he is.

We need to avoid doing the same thing. We should pick someone w/ general election electability... and stick with them.

Are we sure Clark's not in yet? We need him NOW.

7. Keep telling yourself that, John.
Meanwhile, here are just a few quotes from the people you are trying to woo:

Sen. John McCain: 'Many People Trust My Judgment'

"Many people trust my judgment because they've known me for many years,"
We need a new topic for the forum. Delusions.

9. The Rise of the Religious Right in The Republican Party (Cornell U site)

Then there is the influence of the pagan religious right to consider-for example, the legacy of former Church of Satan priest Lt. Col. Michael Aquino and his own pagan religious right cult Temple of Set. That is another religious RW that is important to Senator McCain's Republican party.

All contribute to the culture of death within the BFEE.
