Jewish groups sympathise with Muslim desecrated gravestone families

PARIS (EJP)---Jewish groups have expressed their sympathy to the families of those whose tombs were desecrated in a Muslim cemetery in northeastern France.

Both the CRIF, French Jewry’s represntative body and the Simon Wiesenthal centre spoke out against the attack.

Dalil Boubakeur, internal director of the Paris-based European branch of the Simon Wiesenthal Centre wrote to the head of the Mosque of Paris noting that: "Jewish cemeteries are often the target of such hate crimes".

"Indeed, those who assault the dead - whether Jewish or Muslim - are part of a culture of death that has victimized both of our communities,” Boubakeur wrote.

6. It's good that the Jewish groups spoke out
There is a fascist, xenophobic fringe in France which has caused a lot of trouble to both Jews and Muslims, as well as ethnic minorities in general. (These are the sorts of people who vote for Le Pen.) The more the targeted groups can unite with each other against the racists, the less power the racists will have,
