Gonzales heckled at Harvard reunion

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - A small group of student protesters, including one wearing a black hood and an orange jumpsuit, heckled Attorney General Alberto Gonzales as he posed with old classmates Saturday during their 25-year Harvard Law School reunion.

"When the photographer was getting everybody set up and having people say 'cheese,' the protesters yelled: 'say torture, instead,' 'resign' and 'I don't recall,'" said Nate Ela, a protester and third-year student.

Law school spokesman Mike Armini said the impromptu protest was so small that some of those attending the photo shoot did not notice it.

Ela said the protesters followed Gonzales into the law school's library, chanting "shame" and "resign," before the attorney general's security detail took him to his motorcade.

13. I bet you're correct. Their movement will be severely restricted from
here on, because wherever they go, they're gonna be confronted by protestors - maybe just one or two, or a handful at times. But these assholes will ALWAYS be hounded like this, from now on.

They won't be able to go to a restaurant, to the airport, to the restroom, wherever, without being self-conscious about who's looking at them, who's going to come up to them with some snarky remark, who's going to ruin their nice quiet dinner or their nice evening out. Boo-hoo. And they'll be damned lucky if these are the ONLY residuals facing them for the rest of their lives.

6. Wow! This sounds like it might possibly be true and an interesting read
Of course, these are the hallmarks of rumors. Yet, the thought of Gonzales being publicly rejected by his own peers - these are 50 year old men and women. It's just a scrumptious morsel.

The story also has the seminal and obligatory caveats that is typical of journalism -- Harvard PR trying to limit the damage by saying it was "so small that some of those attending the photo shoot did not notice." Nevermind that some of those attending the "photo shoot" might have already left or were in the restroom at the time.

Apparently, the chanters chased Gonzales out of the building, for he was whisked away in his security carriage, back to the world where everything is beautiful forever and the rest of us don't get it.
