Please take a look at the "Uniform Child Kidnapping Prevention Act".

None of us want children kidnapped !!!

but,

under this law approved by the Uniform law group last year(attempts to pass it underway in 11 states right now);

somebody can file a lawsuit against you saying you are a threat to kidnap your children because;

1) you quit a job.

2) you terminated a lease.

3) you obtained your children's school records.

4) you obtained your children's medical records.

5) you don't have relatives that live in your current state.

6) you have relatives that live in another state.

7) you don't have relatives that live in this country.

8) you have relatives that live in another country.

etc. etc. etc.

the punishment for such crimes is left wide open.

1) you can lose your passport.

2) your right to travel within the country can be severely restricted.

3) you may have to give the courts a large 'visitation bond' to be able to see your kids. Like $100,000. Full amount payable. Loss of amount for any minor violation of the order.

4) anything else the brilliant (and typically ultra liberal) lawyers in this country toss at you.
