Florida man shot in head, complains of headache
Posted 10 hours 38 minutes ago

A Florida man woke up with a severe headache and asked his wife to drive him to a hospital, where doctors found a bullet lodged behind his right ear.

"The nurse looked at him and said, 'It appears that you've been shot,'" the Fort Pierce Tribune quoted St Lucie County Sheriff Ken Mascara as saying.
(snip)

The man's wife, April Moylan, fled the emergency room when the bullet was discovered but later told deputies she had accidentally shot her husband as he slept early on Tuesday.
(snip)

The husband, 45-year-old Michael Moylan, woke up with a head pain so severe he suspected he was having an aneurism and asked his wife to take him to the emergency room.

Dickinson boy accidentally shoots teen sister

Copyright 2007 Houston Chronicle

A 13-year-old Dickinson boy was playing with a gun when police said he accidentally shot and wounded his 14-year-old sister Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities did not identify the victim, who was was rushed by Life Flight helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.

Police said the brother and sister were playing "a childhood game" with the gun in the 5200 block of Cottonwood about 3:45 p.m. when the weapon suddenly went off, striking the girl in the neck.

At the emergency room in Houston tonight, a woman who identified herself as the girl's grandmother said her granddaughter had been upgraded to stable condition.

"She's doing good," the woman said. "It didn't hit any vital organs, just muscle."

1. Just muscle. What a relief.
I want to know what kind of childhood game involves a loaded gun. As for the wife shooting her husband, did she know it when she climbed into bed with him the night before? Weird.

6. I thought the same thing!
Kevin Kline was hilarious in that role. I wonder if his wife had a similar motivation?

11. maybe she thought she missed?
if she was really drunk at the time? I mean if there wasn't a lot of blood, she might have thought she just grazed him? I mean we obviously aren't talking about top of the line intellects here.

10. Blech. Headlines like this are so untasteful...
Maybe I'm being too prissy, but I don't like to make light of gun attacks or "accidents."

12. dumb woman. There's always divorce.
Thank God she didn't kill him, for both of them. It takes the death row possiblity out of the equation for her actions which would land others there.
