Dean Labels Bush 'Reckless'
DETROIT, Dec. 29 -- From Iraq to homeland security to public health, President Bush's "reckless" habit of placing "ideology over facts" has resulted in "the most dangerous administration in my lifetime," Democrat Howard Dean charged over the past two days.

In Midwest campaign stops and an interview, the former Vermont governor said developments both abroad and at home give credence to his assertion two weeks ago that the United States is "no safer" with the capture of former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

"If we are safer, how come we lost 10 more troops and raised the safety alert" to the orange level, Dean said Sunday night in Ankeny, Iowa.

"All the other Democrats pounced on me and beat me up and said how ignorant I was about foreign affairs," he said. "I think most people in America agree with me today and it's only two weeks later."

1. THIS is why Howard Dean is a WINNER.
Need you any more evidence? He's right. He's almost always right.

12. Here's What Dean Should Do...
Steal a page from Al Franken: challenge Bush to a no-holds-barred fist-fight inside his garage ala "Fight Club."

If Bush backs down: blast him for being a the wimp that he is.

If he fights, Dean beats the Hell out of him, then videotape Dean medically treating Bush.

Can't miss!

4. These statements are why we support him!
SNIP...."All the other Democrats pounced on me and beat me up and said how ignorant I was about foreign affairs," he said. "I think most people in America agree with me today and it's only two weeks later."

Dean has rocketed to the top of the Democratic presidential field with his sharp attacks on Bush, especially on the war in Iraq. Far from backing off his earlier comment about Hussein, Dean has broadened the critique, adding mad cow disease, the national deficit, HIV-AIDS and homeland security to the list of safety failures during Bush's tenure.

"National security and economic security are the touchstones of the election," he said in the interview after a rally Monday in Green Bay, Wis. "I think the president has been fairly reckless in just about every area I can think of.".... END SNIP

I think it is about hope. This has been the hardest year of my life. I have been forced to watch the inane faces of idiots spewing lies and smiling about it.

I have wanted to throw things at the TV. 3 of our kids have come around, and one is thinking....and he is the neocon. They have never seen this side of their parents.....this angry side that wants to know what happened to our country. Our anger and concern made them think, because we are not like that usually.

It speaks of hope, that is why.

9. Huh??? Dec. 3, 2003- Kerry: Bush administration arrogant, reckless
Edited on Mon Dec-29-03 11:47 PM by NewYorkerfromMass
I guess Dean liked Kerry's choice of words:

"Presidential candidate John Kerry Wednesday attacked President Bush's foreign policy, calling it "arrogant, inept, and reckless," and vowed to chart a new course restoring diplomacy through multilateral relationships...."

14. Yet Dean is the frontrunner now and has this Kucinich supporter's
place as second choice out of all candidates.
All Dems should be repeating "reckless", "miserable failure" and the like and stop going negative on one another.

16. I think it's great
That the candidates have chosen the word "reckless" to use to describe the chimp. Don't you think it's a good thing that they are putting that out into the mass conciousness. The reason we keep getting beat is that the right always tries to define us. If all the candidates start using the same voice, regardles of who said what first, I think it is a good thing.

17. "Reckless"? Dr. Dean is so gentle.
He says "reckless" where I'd say "treasonous."

Golly, how can I support somebody who's so...so....mild?

21. Dean speaks the truth and they think it's hell.
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 12:13 PM by ozone_man
The only way of getting Bush out of office is to attack him with the truth.

<snip>
"Ordinary farmers in Iowa can't sell their calves right now because the president of the United States did not take the precautions that we could have easily predicted," he said. By choosing "ideology over facts," he added, the Republican administration is "not only a failure, but the most dangerous administration in my lifetime."
