Dean takes stump for ‘ordinary people’ |
|
http://www.greenbaypressgazette.com/news/archive/local_13924912.shtmlThe ordinary people have been forgotten.
That’s the message Howard Dean brought to several hundred voters Monday in Green Bay.
“I have nothing against corporations … but we’ve got to have room in the society for ordinary people,” Dean said while talking about passage of the most recent farm bill at Green Bay Southwest High School. “Our government has forgotten we are not meant to be cogs in a big corporate machine.”

1. This is how Dean got ahead in the polls |
|
His whole campaign stresses the people taking back the country. And if we don't do it now, we might not have another chance.

4. I'm more worried about the Democrat corporatists. |
|
If one party is controlled by corporations, at least we have a choice. However, when both parties are, we are doomed.
Pay attention to what Ralph Nader is saying and doing right now. Corporate control over the Democratic Party is what led Nader to run as a Green in 2000. Nader has said he won't run if Kucinich or Dean are the Democratic candidates, and it's not because Dean is so 'left-wing'. It's because Dean has basically said screw-off to the corporatist wing of the Democratic Party.

3. I hope his message reaches can reach people |
|
Too many out there don't know what Dean's about, and think he's a one trick pony by opposing Iraq.
Dean's campaign needs to show its breadth, which he tried to do in the last debate. He wanted to change the issue from Iraq, but that's all any of them wanted to talk about. I like Dean a lot, and I don't think the 'old school' Dems should have anything to fear.
