U.S. military deaths in Iraq at 3,592

As of Friday, July 6, 2007, at least 3,592 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count. The figure includes seven military civilians. At least 2,952 died as a result of hostile action, according to the military's numbers.


The AP count is two higher than the Defense Department's tally, last updated Friday at 10 a.m. EDT.

5. Won't be that long until Bush has killed 4,000.
As we have heard, the toll would be so much higher if the body armor hadn't been improved to the point people who would have been killed in earlier days have managed to survive shots, and explosions.

Only through the protection of better equipment can we see that number this low currently, and ALL these deaths should never have happened.
