A who's who of Nebraska Democrats turns out for Obama

For $2,300 each, about 35 Nebraskans and Iowans snacked on chicken-mango skewers and chatted with Omaha billionaire Warren Buffett and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

In all, about 200 people gathered Wednesday night at the Ironwood Golf and Country Club to attend a fund-raiser hosted by Buffett for Obama. The Illinois senator was accompanied by his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters: 9-year-old Malia and a very sleepy 6-year-old Sasha.

Attendees included some of Nebraska's top Democrats, including Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey, former Lt. Gov. Kim Robak, Omaha attorney James Martin Davis and State Sen. Steve Lathrop of Omaha.

1. Glad that old Warren is introducing him to Omaha. No reason

to stay away from a small red state--gotta pick up converts anywhere you can. If Obama's the nominee and the GOP fields a really weak candidate (and they will, with the field so far), it might be a close one.
