Columbus (OH) officer reassigned over (racist) YouTube videos

The city police department reassigned a patrol officer to a desk job Tuesday after she posted on YouTube a series of homemade videos disparaging blacks, Jews, Cubans and illegal immigrants.

Officer Susan Purtee, 60, and her sister, Barbara Gordon-Bell, 52, made and distributed videos blaming those groups for problems in U.S. society.

In a statement, Mayor Michael Coleman called the videos offensive. The police division started an internal administrative investigation.

Purtee, a 15-year veteran who patrols day shift, wears civilian clothes in the videos and never mentions her occupation. A description of the videos on the sisters' Web site notes that she is a law enforcement officer.

2. I found one of their filthy videos. It's hard to think there's anyone stupid and nasty enough

to appreciate this. They sound just like right-wingers, not a bit different.

There have been 5646 viewers. Is it better to ignore them, and not run up the number, or is it better to have a long good squint at these aging demons?

It truly is embarrassing to see this wreckage. They must spend most of their time completely loaded in order to stand themselves. What a waste they've made of their lives.

No doubt there's an unmistakable pattern. Probably a lot of formal complaints, too, which have been ignored over the years.

What ARE they? What if, compared to their PARENTS, they are a lot more mellow and laid back?

It would be great if something could be done to penalize them for involving a taxpayer-supported employer, like the police department in their vile hate-mongering. Anytime they speak with members of the community, people will put "racist" and "cop" together instantly. Looks bad for the police to keep her on, sucking up taxpayer-derived paychecks.
