Kidnapped Catholic priests freed in Iraq -Vatican
21 Oct 2007 11:25:12 GMT

NAPLES, Italy, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Two Catholic
priests kidnapped in Iraq have been freed, a
Vatican spokesman said on Sunday.

"I can confirm that they are free," the spokesman
said. He gave no details of the priests' health
or how they were freed.

The priests were seized in the northern city
of Mosul. The U.S. military had said it was
investigating intelligence reports that indicated
the clerics were being held by an unidentified
group for $1 million ransom.

1. Great. That's millions of more dollars in ransom money that will be used to attack our troops.

2. Wrong on all counts. Millions? What millions? The ransom was 1 million.
And nowhere does it state that the ransom was paid.

But don't let that stop your irrational Catholic bashing.

3. I'm sorry. I forgot that the possibility that they were released out of charity.
Just like the christian missionaries from South Korea, and the "journalists" from Fox Noise.

It's irrational catholic-bashing to assume they hired a Kidnap & Ransom firm to secure a release.
