Rice: No Evidence Iraq Moved WMD to Syria
AP Wire

January 9, 2004

WASHINGTON -- The United States has no credible evidence that Iraq moved weapons of mass destruction into Syria early last year before the U.S.-led war that drove Saddam Hussein from power, National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice said Friday.

Rice said, "Any indication that something like that happened would be a very serious matter.

"But I want to be very clear: we don't, at this point, have any indications that I would consider credible and firm that that has taken place, but we will tie down every lead," she said at a White House briefing about Bush's trip Monday to a hemispheric summit in Mexico.

Gee whiz, no credible evidence? Isn't that a surprise? Over 10,000 Iraqi civilians and 500 US troops are dead because you screwed up witch. No big deal right?

3. Well, That Means That Two Possibilities Remain.

1. Iraq possessed no weapons of mass destruction. (my vote)
2. They had the weapons and handed them out like candy to all the evildoers (not remotely likely)

Does it look like ShrubCo. is trying to get all of their lies out in the open and out of the way prior to the election? It sure does to me. Not such a good idea though. I've been lurking in Freeperland as of late and they appear to be waking up to the fact that THERE WERE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN IRAQ!

hook line and sinker.

When are these people going to admit that Bush and his minions lied about EVERYTHING related to the I-raq war?

What lame delusion are they going to offer us now regarding I-raq's nonexistent WMD?

19. It's hard to move something that doesn't exist...
and since we all knew from the beginning that the WMD were just an excuse to invade Iraq, something that the neocons had already decided to do even before 9-11 (which wasn't connected to Iraq, anyway) this doesn't surprise any of us here.

I wonder if the right-wingers will pull their heads out of their asses now and start to realize that Dubya is the worst thing that ever happened to this country?

U.S. demands Syria give up Iraq's weapons of mass destruction
Rumsfeld, Rice urge quick action

Officials said Bush has been urged by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice to move quickly against Damascus.
Officials said the extent of the Iraqi-Syrian WMD connection was disclosed by Jaffar Jaffar, regarded as the father of Iraq's nuclear program. Last week, Jaffar fled to Syria and then made his way to an unidentified Arab country, where he surrendered to U.S. authorities, Middle East Newsline reported.

But Bush, at the urging of Powell, has overruled Rumsfeld's appeal to consider military measures against Damascus, officials said. Instead, the president has ordered a review of non-military measures against Syria.

Where there was the distinct possibility of a déjà vu…..just imagine the spin that would’ve taken place upon entering Damascus and finding no WMD….gee, they must be in Iran…ATTACK…

Pink slips can’t come soon enough for these critters….

27. Gee what a difference a day makes
Seems Condi must have gotten one of those midnight calls from the Prince of Darkness. She sure changed her tune pretty fast?

Rice said the United States has "a number of issues that we'd like to talk to . . . the Syrians about." These include "the borders with Iraq and what may have happened in the past there and what may be continuing to happen there; Syrian support for terrorism in Damascus, particularly support for Hezbollah and Hamas, and their relationship with Lebanon in that regard," she said.

32. Condoleezza Rice --
-- is a woman who has abandoned the Goddess. She was an accomplished pianist and then chose a Power Track career instead. Oh, she still tinkles the ivories with that small ensemble just to keep her hand in, but her heart is with the power levers of world governments.

She left the meditative and fluid quiet of classical music for the white-knuckled wranglings of the war-mongering power elite.
