Dem Rivals Assail Clinton on Iran Vote
Source: AP

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Democratic rivals assailed front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton Tuesday for a vote against Iran that they portrayed as misguided and dangerous in light of a new intelligence report that says the Iranians stopped pursuing a nuclear weapon years ago.

One month before Iowa's leadoff caucuses - in a debate broadcast only on radio - the presidential candidates stood together in welcoming the report's assessment and criticizing President Bush's assertion that ``nothing's changed'' because of it. They divided on the three-month-old Senate vote to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization - a resolution that only Clinton supported among the Democratic candidates. She said her vote was meant to encourage diplomacy, but several of her foes were having none of that and John Edwards said it sounded like war.

2. She deserves it.
Two calamitous votes to have people, our troops, as well as innocent children and human beings killed and murdered. Refuses to address it , except to try and spin it. Specious claims about these votes on the part of her supporters, no matter how much they must put that slaughter out of their minds because their candidate voted for it. Amazing what the human mind can do in order to avoid pain of conscience.

They are right to bring her to answer. Maybe she will answer by laughing , giggling and cackling over it. Just so cute.

She is going down in Iowa and her recent attempts to attack her rivals just plain make her look batty and silly. Laugh again Hillary. It makes you look so responsible and serious.

6. I still say she was set up and the smartest woman in America doesn't
get it. And of course lieberman can always be counted on by the GOP to be their tool.

4. great observation, and smarter than the chimp-if she cannot
take these challenges, including her husband getting upset about it, her #'s will drop-she is getting nowhere trying to 'control' everything, even those that are challenging her...it ain't gonna work, Hillary-you're not in the WH anymore.

7. "She said her vote was meant to encourage diplomacy...."
So calling a significant portion of a country's military "terrorists" is now...in Hillary-Speak.....DIPLOMACY?

So I guess diplomacy means calling names now in the world of Hillary?

to encourage diplomacy, including Hillary.

There is an old sang, full me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Looks like Hilliary is incapable of learning her lessons.

8. HRC's statement of October 11th, "In what we voted for today,
we will have an opportunity to designate it as a terrorist organization, which gives us the options to be able to impose sanctions on the primary leaders to try to begin to put some teeth into all this talk about dealing with Iran,"

Anthony Cordesman, a most respected man and an expert on military affairs in the Middle East, says the contention that Clinton has given President Bush an opening on Iran is unfair.
"There frankly is no conceivable reason to accuse Sen. Clinton of somehow giving a wink and a nod to an attack on Iran, except narrow personal political advantage," I agree......

9. Putting some teeh in all this
talk abot Iran. That sounds as bushco as you can get. She deserves to have her ass handed to her for that vote and always has deserved it.

On the trust meter she rates about a minus five.

I would love to see a Kucinich/Edwards ticket!
