NH NEA to endorse Clinton, Huckabee
Source: AP

By PHILIP ELLIOTT, Associated Press Writer1 hour, 32 minutes ago

The New Hampshire chapter of the National Education Association, the country's largest teachers union, has endorsed Hillary Rodham Clinton and Mike Huckabee for the Democratic and Republican presidential nominations respectively, sources said Wednesday.

This is the first time the 16,000-member group has endorsed a Republican candidate, despite estimates that a quarter of its members are Republicans. The chapter's members will meet later this week to announce the Clinton endorsement. Leaders are trying to schedule another meeting to announce Huckabee's endorsement.

1. How absurd
They're endorsing for the two nominations, instead of for president. That makes no sense.

Endorsing Huckabee eliminates the organization's credibility entirely.

6. Huckabee was the ONLY republican to show his face at the
annual representative assembly. The endorsement is a thnak you and outreach for future republicans. It also placates republican association members.

It is empty since the dems will get the backing in the general election but those are the reasons why they did it.

3. Are they going to toss a coin to decide who to endorse in the Presidential election?
If I was one of the 75% Dems in that union I would be REAL pissed.

5. Huckabee? No wonder our children can't compete educationally with
those in other countries.

If it weren't for the honor of the endorsement, Hillary might wish she hadn't gotten it.
