Fox Accepts Invitation to Bush Ranch
January 12, 2004, 8:06 PM EST

MONTERREY, Mexico -- Mexican President Vicente Fox on Monday accepted an invitation to visit President Bush's Texas ranch in March, another sign that the two leaders' sometimes rocky relationship is on the mend.

<snip>

Bush's recent proposal to allow more migrants to work legally in the United States appeared to bring the two nations closer together. Both Fox and Bush joked like old friends Monday during a meeting in Monterrey, Mexico.

It's unclear exactly what they will do or discuss in Texas on March 5-6, but one thing is nearly guaranteed: Fox will be bringing his cowboy boots.

1. Is it just me or is an invitation to the ranch....
some kind of * reward plan?

Seriously, what the hell is it with that pseudo mock up of a "retreat" this moron calls the ranch?

And what if you refuse the invitation and say you would prefer to go to the White House or DC?

4. Bush* probably needs some crops planted
Edited on Mon Jan-12-04 09:31 PM by Philosophy
Fox will toil in the field all day doing the "job that Americans don't want", while Bush looks on approvingly from atop his horse, rifle in hand, making sure Fox doesn't drink more than his fair share of water or try to escape to the North.

8. Oh No
My husband and I have a theory that anyone who goes to the ranch must come home with some compromising photos or something...
because they all become Bush's 'yes men' after a visit to Crawford.

What goes on at that ranch?

10. Vicente's son and Jenna a twosome?
Relations may be warming between Mexico and the United States, but Fox's spokesman didn't want people to get the wrong idea about Bush's daughter Jenna and Mexican first lady Marta Sahagun's son, Fernando Bribiesca.

Gutierrez said he wanted to prevent any media speculation by confirming that Fernando was "just acting as an escort" to Jenna. The two were seen sitting together and chatting in Monterrey during several summit events.

Jenna is a student at the University of Texas at Austin.

13. Will Fox get to kill some animals?
If he does we will know that they have really made up. Otherwise it is just for show. Maybe shrub will show him his "trick" with the cherry bomb and the frog.
