Former Mayor, Former Mayor of Madison WI Paul Soglin endorses Clark |
|
Yes, he served as Mayor of Madison, Wisconsin twice - from 1973 - 1979 and from 1989 - 1997. Just tonight, he endorsed Wesley Clark for the Presidency of the United States.
As anyone who knows Wisconsin politics knows, this is quite a wonderful endorsement for Clark, from a real anti-war activist - someone who is a symbol of Madison and its progressive movement.
Soglin was introduced by WI Lt. Gov Barbara Lawton, who also has endorsed Clark and has been campaigning for him in Wisconsin and in New Hampshire.

His mayoral election 1973 was such a spark of hope for me. He represented a generation of protesters (and of pot-heads)
