Huckabee's Link To TV Preacher Questioned
Source: CBS News

Last fall, Mike Huckabee taped an appearance on Kenneth Copeland's popular television show. The theme: "Integrity of Character."

"Treat people like you'd want to be treated," Huckabee said.

Now some are raising issue with Huckabee's character, principally his judgment, CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian reports.

They are focusing on his association with the televangelist, who has refused to cooperate with a Senate investigation into his ministry's finances.

At issue, as reported by CBS News last week: whether millions of dollars in tax-exempt church donations have been used to bankroll a lavish lifestyle and a slew of private, for-profit businesses.

2. Treat people like you want to be treated...
I already do that.. I don't want money for it, tho.

ahhhh.... if only I were a scummy televangelist... :P

We have a few televangelists down here in the ATL who are not complying, but this is beautiful. Huckabee is connected to one... he may be a snake oil salesman, but it is good to know he uses what he endorses.

What if I said *I want* to be treated like I have no debt or a care in the world... You think Huck will treat me like that? you think Huck will tell the bill collectors to leave me alone? you think Huck will give to my potential Target registry?

Hell no. Evengelicals are, IMO, the ultimate in Snake Oil salesmen. There job is to take... or rather REAP... in the name of the Lord.

3. Hey! Kenneth Copeland needs that $20 million dollar jet!
How can he be expected to go all over the country to tell people how much Jesus loves them if he has to fly commercial with the rest of humanity?

4. Is Copeland the one who sells those little prayer rags?
I had a secretary once who actually sent in money for one of those "prayer cloths" that were supposed to be "Blessed" with something or other; tears of Copeland? Smothered laughs as Copeland skipped off to the bank?

IMO,any televangelist needs some money to operate their station or buy air time, it's true, but the ones who solicit weird stuff like prayer rags ar bits of the actual cross or just take people's money for their own gain are an abomination. If they get so much excess money, they should be redistributing it to the poor as Jesus instucted, and I don't mean AFTER they buy their mansion and jet.
