Thousands March in Haitian Capital to Demand That President Resign
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) - About 4,000 protesters marched through Haiti's capital Sunday to demand the resignation of President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, defying government supporters who hurled rocks at them and set up a flaming barricade.
One man was shot in the abdomen when a carload of people opened fire on the demonstrators. The man, a street peddler who had been on a nearby sidewalk, was in stable condition, police said.

Later, hooded men fired on students with a shotgun as they left the demonstration, wounding two, Radio Vision 2000 reported. They also were in stable condition at a hospital.

1. hmm when AP reports 'thousands' it is usually tens of thousands
Have they reversed their policy of anything under 10,000 being 'hundreds'?

I guess this confirms that the Admin* wants Aristide out.

I wonder which 'strongman' Cheney wants to replace him with?
