Reported tornado tears through National Guard barracks
Source: CNN

(CNN) -- A possible tornado touched down late Monday in southern Mississippi, slashing through a National Guard barracks and injuring 14 guardsmen, according to a sheriff and a military spokesman.

Lt. Col. Doril Sanders, a spokesman for Camp Shelby, said severe weather hit the facility around 11:25 p.m. CT.

The barracks housed guardsmen from Mena, Arkansas, who are training at Shelby.

They were taken to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg with injuries that aren't life-threatening, Sanders said.

1. Why does God hate the troops ...

:sarcasm:

This is to poke fun at the nuts who believe natural disasters are Gods way of punishing sinners.

Of course, I hope that no one is seriously injured.

Cheers

3. Article says none of the injuries are life-threatening.
However, once The V.A. gets through with them...

5. Maybe one of them was gay
Because we know that tornados and hurricanes are God's punishment for homosexuality.

9. Those TV preachers blamed New Orleans, so why don't they blame
wars and the army?

2. What are the odds of a tornado hitting one of the 22% of National Guard barracks that isn't empty?

6. I have to get off of DU today and soon
I read the word "barracks" as if it was "Barak's"...

I'll come back tomorrow :)

Meanwhile I hope everything is all right for these people in Obamas...
Darn there I go again.

8. Camp Shelby's a pre-Iraq/Afganistan training base
The Air Force used to send active-duty people through there for two months of infantry/combat skills training before going to Iraq or Afghanistan, if they were going to be attached to the Army, which is why I went through there April-June 2006 before my year in Afghanistan. It's a pretty big base really, with new barracks and facilities being built like mad when I was there. So a tornado would have plenty to hit. God may or may not hate Camp Shelby, but I sure do.
